Rømmegrøt cooking class

Rømmegrøt is a warm Norwegian porridge, similar to a rich pudding, eaten with a drizzle of melted butter and a good sprinkling of cinnamon. At its core, this is a porridge that is made from flour, fresh sour cream, sugar, milk, and flavorings. Literally, Rømmegrøt translates into two parts. Rømme translates from Norwegian as ‘sour cream.’ Grøt translates to 'porridge.' Since the sour cream in the U.S. does not have a high enough fat content, we use heavy cream instead. While this eliminates some of the tangy taste, it is still delicious.
